Besides the so-many world premieres and concepts we've seen at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, those who are attending the venue also get the chance to see some hot performance vehicles tuned by various companies across the world. Such an example is the Brabus E V12 Coupe, a model based on the new Mercedes E-Klasse coupe that will be offered as part of a limited series.
Power comes from a Brabus SV12 R Biturbo 800 twelve-cylinder displacement engine that produces 800 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft). Translated into performance figures, the output means a 0 - 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds and a maximum speed of 370 km/h (230 mph) without the speed limited.
The car can reach 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.9 seconds and 300 km/h (186 mph) in 23.9 seconds. However, the street-legal versions are limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
In order to handle such a huge amount of power, Brabus installed a high-performance brake system that features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers and vented and grooved steel brake discs measuring 380 x 37 millimeters (15.0 x 1.5 inches on the front axle and six-piston aluminum fixed calipers gripping discs measuring 360 x 28 millimeters (14.2 x 1.1 inches) on the rear.
Other features include a Brabus quad sport exhaust system, a special rear spoiler, a carbon-fiber diffuser with a centrally-mounted reflector and genuine carbon-fiber trim on dashboard, center console and doors.
Pricing for the car starts at - please hold your breath - 478,000 Euros MSRP.
