Lamborghini has announced the production of a special version of the Gallardo LP 550-2, which will benefits from the Superleggera’s weight saving measures (further aided by the fact that the car has no heavy AWD mechanicals) but with the all the toys of the standard Gallardo.
The car will feature a complete exterior Superleggera kit which includes a more aggressive front bumper, carbon fiber side skirts and diffuser, plus a titanium exhaust system to reduce weight and give a more aggressive sound signature.
Each car will bear a ‘MLE Limited Edition 20’ plaque, located on the lower part of the B-pillar. The ‘MLE’ features similar mechanicals to the 2-wheel drive Balboni, with the same 550-hp V10 powering the rear wheels. Each of the 20 cars are priced at around $554,000 (€421.400) and are available to order.
