Sure, the Grand National has never been Buick's most successful launch, but its debut in 1982 certainly served as an incentive for NASCAR fans to join the Buick club.
The car's name comes from the NASCAR Winston Cup Grand National Series, with Buick winning the Manufacturers Cup twice—in 1981 and 1982.

The Grand National landed with a 252 V6 engine, developing 215 horsepower. Buick couldn't make up its mind over the Grand National, so the model was discontinued in 1983 before being reintroduced in 1984 with an exclusive all-black finish. This time it remained available for longer,.

The 1987 Grand National you see in these photos is all kinds of special, as it was owned by a GM worker who customized it before rolling off the assembly lines. He added a special message for his wife, Judy, on the dashboard. When you step inside, you should see a plaque reading, "This 1987 Buick Grand National was specifically built for Judy Edminson."

However, eBay seller jessbabic0 says this isn't the only rare goodie you're getting on this Buick. The car also comes with a power Astro roof, power seats, a digital dash, and trunk carpets from the factory. The owner says this combo is very rare, and while I couldn't find any numbers to support their claims, I admit the Astro roof is a fantastic thing to have.

As you can imagine, considering the car's photo, the engine starts and runs properly. The seller says this Grand National is an award winner in Las Vegas.

The car remains stock, and it's still completely original, with the original paint still on the body. However, the paint has recently been corrected to look the way it is today. If you don't like the rims and tires, that's okay because the owner still has the original ones.

The car needs nothing, and the seller says the only minor thing that requires attention is the Astro roof carpeting, which has become a little loose. Otherwise, you can hop in and drive, albeit you wouldn't want to do this very often because you'd ruin the low miles. The car has only 37K (59K) on the clock, likely as it spent most of the time in a garage.

The selling price isn't surprising, albeit it might be a bit too optimistic for a Grand National. The owner wants $63,000 for the car, but they also enabled the Make Offer option, so they're open to talks if anyone is interested in buying their Buick.

The post will expire this week, so if you want to see the car in person, buy a ticket for Henderson, Nevada, and contact the seller to discuss all the details before committing to a purchase.
