To date, the Mopar community has known four 'Demons.' The latest is the Demon 170, which is not exactly just a follow-up to the SRT Demon from 2018.
Instead, the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 'Last Call' special edition is one of the greatest quarter-mile oriented cars that turned a trail of tire smoke on planet Earth, complete with a mind-bending power level of 1,025 horsepower on E85. That's a big and heavy American muscle car doing the same pony level as a sleek and slender mid-engine supercar!

Before it, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was also a heavily modified variant of the 2018 model year Dodge Challenger that rocked the established levels of quarter-mile dragstrip racing. However, these two weren't the only Demons in Dodge's life. Another was the 2007 Dodge Demon concept car, which had nothing to do with the Challenger line, but it was conceived as a two-door roadster designed to slot under the Viper and compete with models like the Mazda MX-5 Miata.

Going one last time back in history, the original Demon was actually a version of the popular Valiant-based fastback Plymouth Duster that was originally supposed to be called 'Beaver.' However, that was CB slang for the reproductive organs of females, and the Chrysler team quickly switched to a manlier Dodge Demon nameplate. The car, naturally, was advertised as a performance model, and a Demon 340 model topped the line with a 275-hp engine and an optional four-speed manual transmission.

Many people have probably forgotten of its existence because it only ran for a couple of model years (1971 and 1972) as its sales lagged behind the Plymouth Duster, and now the feats of the modern Demons are incomparable. It's not the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, though. Instead, Czech Republic-based virtual artist Rostislav Prokop, known as rostislav_prokop on social media, continues his thunderous dream periplus with a bespoke Demon restomod design project.

This 1971 Dodge Dart Demon is dressed in a classic maroon shade, has LED lights front and rear, a lowered suspension setup, ample aerodynamic enhancements at the front, side, and rear, plus a widebody fender flare treatment with new aftermarket wheels and performance white-wall tires. The engine is also exposed, but the pixel master doesn't share any technical details, so we don't know if that's a 340 or something else.

It's too bad we don't get to see any POVs of the interior – that would have really made this project 100% complete. What do you think? If you had the time, money, and a 1971 Dodge Dart Demon, would you make it look like this or just restor it and leave it stock?
