This season alone we've brought you tons of drag racing adventures and yet very few of them came with a soundtrack as aggressive as the one delivered by the straight line shenanigan we have here.
We're dealing with an episode that involves a tuned 2016 Audi R8 V10 Plus and an ex-generation BMW M3 gifted with a supercharger kit. So far, things seem normal (for the drag racing world, that is), but the two didn't race each other.
Instead, the 600+ hp machines duked it out with a go-kart animated by a Suzuki Hayabusa engine.
The tiny track machine tips the scales at just 350 lbs (160 kg), but comes with 160 hp, so its power-to-weight ratio is otherworldly. Then again, it's not like the contraption doesn't warn its competitors about the acceleration potential it packs, with its insane soundtrack taking care of this.
And when that soundtrack mixes with the voice of an Audi R8 V10 Plus that has been taken to 640 hp with the help of bolt-ons, the aural effect mentioned in the title is achieved.
As for the M3, the V8 under the hood works with a G-Power blower kit, which means the machine delivers 600 horses - the Bimmer sounds aggressive too, but, in our book, the go-kart manages to outscream it.
The trio met during a recent rolling drag race event held on the Nurburgring GP track and while the piece of footage below doesn't allow us to see the result of the two races, the supercar spotter who uploaded the video was kind enough to throw in such details.
"In the race with the Audi R8 it was almost a dead heat, in the race with the G-Power M3, the cart was faster!" we are being told.
P.S.: Don't forget to turn up the volume before hitting the play button below, for a full dB experience.
