The good folks over at the racing-focused ImportRace channel on YouTube are not yet back at their usual venue - Island Dragway in Great Meadows, New Jersey, but still dangle between glorious locations and sometimes remember about older gems from past competition.
This prolific videographer has shown us just about everything this year – whenever he's not 'home' at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, New Jersey, he's on the road traveling for TX2K to Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, for great roll races at Pocono Raceway (aka the Tricky Triangle) in the Pocono Mountains in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, or showcasing enticing Street Car Takeover action at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, as well as additional brawls (both drags and rolls) from Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland.

When he's not back on his marked territory (Island Dragway) for additional cool races, he probably remembers that he's got some remaining footage from TX2K or elsewhere. As such, just recently, we saw a couple of heavily modded Pontiac G8 sedans battle-tuned Ford Mustang GT in near-matching attire from TX2K. The surprising rides gave us some seven-second shivers down the spine, by the way! Now, let's be a little tamer – with low eights!

More precisely, this latest feature embedded below focuses on TX2K with an emphasis on a black Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat that – according to the description – is fitted with a Whipple supercharger and allegedly develops no less than 1,400 horsepower. Judging by the cloud of smoke created during the traditional burnout, they're not kidding.

Anyway, the first brawler is none other than Cadillac's CTS-V sedan, also a massively beloved platform for achieving great feats at the local quarter-mile dragstrip. On this occasion, though, it's the Mopar that took the headline, but in the end, both performed spectacularly – the Charger won after an 8.93s pass against its opponent's 8.97s effort. Next up, later at night, a trio of fellow Mopars came along.

The first one was a great-looking green Dodge Challenger – but the 'SRT Cat' jumped the gun and red-lighted, so only the Charger got timed: 8.12s at almost 171 mph! Secondly, a crimson and striped Dodge Charger came along, but it seems the desire to win can fool just about anyone – another red light from the opponent and the black Charger stomped on a flawless 8.12s victory! Cool, right?

Well, cherish these precious moments as much as you can. The L-bodied Dodge Challenger and Charger have been out of production since December 2023, and it won't take long before the dealer stocks deplete. Stellantis, meanwhile, prepares to welcome into the family the eighth generation based on the new STLA Large platform with both two- and four-door body styles, as well as either Daytona EV or Sixpack inline-six 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo powertrains under the hood.
