For all of those moments when a semi truck annoys drivers around for simply taking up too much space on the road, we have a video that brings close. Behold, the 1:2 scale Kenworth semi trailer.
Nonetheless, one should not expect to meet such creations too often, as putting them together certainly doesn’t come easy. This is a hand-built scale model that took 2,850 hours to create. As for the bill, this came in at a hefty US$85,000 (EUR at the current exchange rates).
The hauling contraption is powered by a five-cylinder Cummins oil burner. Judging by what we see in the clip below, the turbo diesel seems to provide just enough power for the Kenworth and its gas tanker semi trailer. The clip also shows the model next to the rear deal, so you can get a pretty good idea on how deep the creator of this machine went when it came to the little details that matter.
Oh and in case you were wondering, the soundtrack belongs to an actual Canadian trucker, who also happened to be a country singer, the late Bobby Hachey.
If you think about it, this scale model would make a very nice cargo for an actual Kenworth...
