In 2012, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT 8V, a touring motorcycle equipped with the latest version of the 8V V-twin engine and various new components that enhanced its overall comfort, performance, and handling.
It was fitted with a new suspension system for more comfort and corner stability, an electrically adjustable windscreen, a new engine with more power and torque, a fairing with improved wind protection and noise reduction, an easy-to-read instrument panel, an anti-slip seat, a factory-fitted center stand, and footpegs with vibration damping.
The motorcycle was based on the Breva model, with the main difference being the front fairing, covering eighty percent of the engine and providing better wind protection. The fairing comprised a tip that diverted the airflow from the engine base and two other small fairings on the sides.
The bike was fitted with standard features, including a dual headlight system, a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, side-mounted panniers (also available with a top case), and three-spoke aluminum wheels.
In 2015, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT 8V, a touring motorcycle that featured the exact specifications as the previous model without any significant modifications.
For power, the 2015 Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT 8V used a 1,151cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine managed by a fuel injection system, boasting 102 hp at 7,000 rpm and 104 Nm (77 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.
