Segment: Naked / Road
Production years: 2011, 2012
In 2011, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE, a special edition version of the base model made from 2009. It was manufactured in 2009 and retained the exact specifications with minor modifications.
The 2011 motorcycle came with a new handlebar, designed to improve the aerodynamic package, a new seat with leather upholstery, a new 50 mm throttle body, new Marelli IWP 189 fuel injectors, and a new Black Devil color scheme.
Compared to the basic model, the special edition version featured several differences, like wire-spoke wheels with tubeless tires, a black-finished frame, and a one-piece dual brown leather seat. In addition, the Satin Green livery went out of production at the end of 2011, replaced by another special edition motorcycle with a Black Devil paint.
The bike was equipped with standard features, including a round headlight on the front, a wide handlebar, a one-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the left-hand side, and wire-spoke wheels with tubeless tires.
The bike rolled on 17-inch spoke wheels with Pirelli Scorpion tires and was fitted with two 320 mm discs coupled to four-piston calipers on the front and a 282 mm disc engaged by a dual-piston caliper on the rear, providing optimum stopping performance.
As for the power figures, the 2011 Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE had installed a 1,151cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering 110 hp at 7,500 rpm and 108 Nm (80 lb-ft) torque at 6,400 rpm.
