The KTM 690 Duke was a supermoto or naked motorcycle manufactured by KTM from 2012 to 2018. It was part of the latest generation in KTM's range that started in 1994 with the KTM Duke 620 or Duke I.

After the KTM 620 or Duke I, next in line was the 1998 Duke 640 or Duke II, followed by the 654cc Duke III, and finally, the 690 Duke IV that debuted in 2012 and continued production until 2018.

Previously making only off-road and racing motorcycles, the Duke came as KTM's first street or supermoto motorcycle. With the introduction of the 1998 KTM 640 Supermoto, the Duke line became more street-oriented, retaining some off-road features, including long suspension travel.

In 2016, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer launched the KTM 690 Duke, which came even stronger than the previous model due to its new Ride Mode technology and more than 50 percent revised LC4's engine mechanical components.

The bike was built around a powder-coated Chromium-Molybdenum steel trellis frame with a 43 mm WP inverted telescopic fork on the front and a WP Pro-Lever linkage shock absorber on the rear, offering excellent handling capabilities.

In the performance department, the 2016 KTM 690 Duke was set in motion by a 690cc four-stroke single-cylinder water-cooled engine with a fuel injection system feeding the piston, delivering 73 hp at 8,000 rpm and 75 Nm (55 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
