HYOSUNG RX125 (2002-2003) Specs, Performance & Photos

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

In 2002, the South Korean motorcycle maker released the Hyosung RX125, a small displacement motorcycle perfect for riders who wanted to introduce themselves to off-road motorcycling.

The 2002 model year was in its fifth consecutive production year and had the same characteristics as the previous one, providing the same visual, performance, and technical specifications without any modifications.

The RX125 was made from 1998 until 2009 and sold in many countries, such as Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania. In Brazil, it was assembled from CKD kits by Kasinski Motos and renamed a Kasinski product.

The 2002 Hyosung RX125 was powered by a 124cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine managed by a carburetor. It boasted 12 hp at 10,300 rpm and 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm. The power was sent to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox and a chain drive.

The suspension system comprised an inverted telescopic fork on the front with 250 mm wheel travel and a dual-sided swingarm tied to a single shock absorber on the rear with 200 mm of travel.

The braking performance was achieved by a 240 mm brake disc mounted on the 21-inch front wheel, clamped by a hydraulic caliper, and a 130 mm drum braking unit on the rear, providing optimum stopping performance.
