HYOSUNG HYOSUNG GT650RC (2016-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

One of many series Hyosung made was the Comet series, which comprised a range of 125, 250, and 650cc V-twin-powered recreational motorcycles. The GT650 was the naked version, the GT650S was half-faired, and the Gt650R was dressed in a full fairing.

In 2016, the South Korean brand released the Hyosung GT650R, the fully-faired version of the range and arguably one of the most powerful machines created by Hyosung.

The bike had standard features, such as a full fairing, a single headlight up front, a medium-sized windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with a passenger grab rail, a two-into-one exhaust system, and six-spoke aluminum wheels.

In addition, the motorcycle had a clip-on handlebar, adjustable footpegs, a race-inspired fairing, an LED taillight, and a narrow high seat.

The suspension system comprised a 41 mm inverted fork on the front end with 120 mm of travel and a single shock on the rear with 100 mm wheel travel, providing excellent suspension performance.

Regarding performance, the 2016 Hyosung GT650R's heartbeat was set by a 647cc four-stroke V-twin, liquid-cooled engine paired to a six-speed gearbox. It delivered 80 hp at 9,000 rpm and 68 Nm (50 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
