In 2013, the Korean motorcycle maker released the Hyosung GT250, a naked quarter-liter motorcycle that debuted in 2004. It was created for riders seeking a powerful yet agile machine with a comfortable upright riding position.

The 2013 model year was in its tenth consecutive production year and packed the same performance, technical, and visual characteristics as the previous one without any significant modifications.

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

The Comet series comprised 125, 250, and 650cc V-twin-powered recreational motorcycles. The GT250 was the naked version, and the GT250R was fully faired.

It was made around a double-cradle perimeter frame with a 43 mm upside-down fork on the front with 120 mm travel and a single shock on the rear with 100 mm wheel travel.

The bike rolled out through factory doors on a set of 17-inch six-spoke aluminum wheels fitted with two 300 mm brake discs on the front clamped by two-piston calipers and a 230 mm rotor on the rear engaged by a dual-piston caliper, achieving the braking performance.

For power, the 2013 Hyosung GT250 had installed a 249cc air/oil-cooled four-stroke V-twin engine at its core that delivered an output power of 30 hp at 10,500 rpm and 21 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque at 7,300 rpm.
