HYOSUNG GT250 (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2011, the Korean motorcycle manufacturer released the Hyosung GT250, a quarter-liter naked motorcycle part of Hyosung's GT series. The motorcycle shared many elements with its larger siblings and came in naked and fully faired versions.

The 2011 model year was the eighth consecutive production year and packed the same performance, technical, and visual specifications as the previous one without any changes whatsoever.

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

The Comet series comprised 125, 250, and 650cc V-twin-powered recreational motorcycles. The GT250 was the naked version, and the GT250R was fully faired.

The bike's aesthetic department was characterized by features like six-spoke aluminum allow wheels, a two-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, a two-piece dual seat, and a single headlight up front with a small cowl and a tiny wind deflector.

The suspension system comprised a 41 mm inverted fork on the front with 120 mm of travel and a single shock on the rear with 100 mm of travel, offering excellent riding characteristics.

In the performance department, the 2011 Hyosung GT250 had installed a 249cc four-stroke V-twin air/oil-cooled engine at its core, boasting 30 hp at 10,500 rpm and 21 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque at 7,300 rpm.
