HYOSUNG GT125 Comet (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

One motorcycle in Hyosung's range was the GT125Comet. The Comet was a series that comprised three motorcycles powered by a V-twin engine with different displacements: 125, 250, and 650cc. The models included in the range were the GT125, GT125R, GT250R, GT250, GT650R, GT650S, and GT650.

In 2005, the South Korean motorcycle maker released the Hyosung GT125 Comet, a small displacement motorcycle created for beginner riders but also for the more experienced ones seeking a lightweight and agile machine.

The bike's frame housed the suspension system, which comprised an inverted telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock on the rear, providing optimum handling capabilities.

The braking performance was achieved by a 300 mm brake disc mounted on the front and a 230 mm brake rotor mounted on the rear. Hydraulic calipers assisted both discs.

As for power, the 2005 Hyosung GT125 Comet packed a 124cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine at its core, boasting 14 hp with a peak force at 10,300 rpm and 9 Nm (7 lb-ft) torque at 10,000 rpm.

Visually, the motorcycle had standard fittings, such as a round headlight up front, two instrument gauges, a two-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with a muffler on the right-hand side, and six-spoke aluminum wheels.
