Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

In 2009, the South Korean motorcycle manufacturer released the Hyosung Aquila V80, a power cruiser motorcycle that perfectly suited the taste of riders seeking an American cruiser appearance on their machine but also wanting the brand's modern technology.

The Hyosung Aquila V80 was a cruiser-style motorcycle powered by a V-twin engine, which also powered the GT650R and GT650S sports bikes. It was similar to the Suzuki SV650 but with different element sizes and parts that were not interchangeable.

The bike's visual department was characterized by standard features, such as a round headlight up front with a chromed housing, a pulled-back handlebar, a one-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with a chromed silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and blacked-out three-spoke aluminum wheels.

The bike was made around a steel frame with a 41 mm inverted fork handling the front suspension and dual side-mounted adjustable shock handling the rear-end suspension.

As for power, the 2009 Hyosung Aquila V80 had installed a 647cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine at its core, boasting 72 hp with a peak at 7,000 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
