In 2012, alongside the TR 650 Terra, the Swedish motorcycle maker released the Husqvarna TR 650 Strada, a dual-sports motorcycle manufactured between 2012 and 2014, with many similarities and several differences.

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor products, such as chainsaws, robotic lawnmowers, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles.

Compared to the TR 650 Terra, which came in red, rolled on wire-spoke wheels, and had no ABS, the TR 650 Strada was painted black or red, had ABS as standard, and had 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast rims.

The bike's aesthetic department was complemented by standard features, such as a front fender mounted close to the wheel, a small cowl with a single headlight unit, a one-piece dual seat with pillion grab handles, a high-mounted exhaust system, cast-aluminum spoke wheels with road tires.

As for power, the 2012 Husqvarna TR 650 Strada packed the same 652cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Terra model, delivering an output power of 58 hp with a peak at 7,250 rpm and 60 Nm (44 lb-ft) torque at 5,750 rpm.

The suspension system was identical to the one by the Terra model, comprising a 46 mm inverted Sachs telescopic fork on the front with 190 mm of travel and an adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear with 190 mm wheel travel.
