HUSQVARNA WRE 125 (2002-2003) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2002, the Swedish manufacturer released the Husqvarna WRE 125, an off-road motorcycle with the same performance, technical, and visual characteristics as the previous one without any modifications.

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles.

The Husqvarna WRE was an off-road motorcycle manufactured from 1994 until 2013. It was powered by a 125cc engine and intended only for off-road use, not competitive use.

Regarding power, the 2002 Husqvarna WRE 125's soul was brought to life by a 124cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mounted under the fuel tank. It boasted 15 hp at 10,500 rpm and was managed by a Dell'Orto carburetor and a six-speed gearbox that sent the power to the rear via a final chain drive.

The bike was assembled around a steel frame with an inverted Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front and a Sachs progressive shock absorber on the rear, providing optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

Braking-wise, the motorcycle featured a race-inspired Brembo braking system with a single disc on each wheel, improving performance and making it safer.

Aesthetically, the motorcycle packed standard fittings like wire-spoke wheels with off-road rubbers, a high-mounted front fender, a small rectangular headlight integrated into a small cowl, a single seat, and a high-mounted exhaust system.
