HUSQVARNA WRE 125 (2001-2002) Specs, Performance & Photos

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles.

The Husqvarna WRE was an off-road motorcycle manufactured from 1994 until 2013. It was powered by a 125cc engine and intended only for off-road use, not competitive use.

In 2001, the Swedish manufacturer released the Husqvarna WRE 125, an off-road motorcycle with the same visual, technical, and performance specifications as the previous one without any significant modifications whatsoever.

The bike was built around a steel frame with an inverted Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front and a Sachs progressive shock absorber on the rear, providing optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

In the braking department, the motorcycle was fitted with a race-inspired Brembo braking system with a single disc on each wheel, which not only improved performance but also made it safer.

As for power, the 2001 Husqvarna WRE 125 had installed a 124cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine under the fuel tank. It was managed by a Dell'Orto carburetor and a six-speed gearbox that sent the power to the rear via a final chain drive.

The bike’s aesthetics were characterized by features such as wire-spoke wheels with off-road rubbers, a high-mounted front fender, a small rectangular headlight integrated into a small cowl, a single seat, and a high-mounted exhaust system.
