HUSQVARNA WRE 125 (2000-2001) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2000, the Swedish manufacturer released the Husqvarna WRE 125, an off-road machine addressed to the younger and less experienced dirt bike fans, thanks to its smooth power delivery and comfortable riding position.

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles.

The Husqvarna WRE was an off-road motorcycle manufactured from 1994 until 2013. It was powered by a 125cc engine and intended only for off-road use, not competitive use.

The bike was characterized by standard features, such as wire-spoke wheels with off-road rubbers, a high-mounted front fender, a small rectangular headlight integrated into a small cowl, a single seat, and a high-mounted exhaust system.

The bike's suspension system comprised an inverted Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front and a Sachs progressive shock absorber on the rear, providing optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

In the braking department, the motorcycle packed a race-inspired Brembo braking system with a single disc on each wheel, which not only improved performance but also made it safer.

In the performance department, the 2000 Husqvarna WRE 125 had installed a 124cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine at its core. It was managed by a Dell'Orto carburetor and a six-speed gearbox that sent the power to the rear via a final chain drive.
