HUSQVARNA TE 250 (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, the Swedish motorcycle maker released the Husqvarna TE 250, a dual-sports motorcycle that debuted in 2002. The 2009 model year was the eighth consecutive production year and packed the same specifications as the previous model without modifications.

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles. It was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In the power department, the 2008 Husqvarna TE 250ie's heartbeat was set by a 249cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine tied to a six-speed gearbox with a final chain drive.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a 50 mm inverted Marzocchi fork on the front end with 300 mm of travel and an adjustable Sachs shock on the rear with 290 mm of travel.

A 260 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the front and a 220 mm rotor with a dual-piston caliper on the rear handled the braking performance, providing excellent stopping power.

Aesthetically, the bike was characterized by standard features, such as a tiny headlight integrated into a small cowl, a raised front fender, a single seat, a protective engine plate, fork slider covers, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.
