HUSQVARNA SM 610ie (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

Husqvarna Group was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, including chainsaws, brush cutters, robotic lawnmowers, trimmers, cultivators, garden tractors, and motorcycles. The company was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In 2009, the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer released the Husqvarna SM 610ie, a member of the SM series. The motorcycle was fitted with an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system developed in close collaboration with Mikuni.

The 2009 model came with the same features as the previous one, which included several modifications, such as the rear mudguard with a separate number plate holder with an independent light, a redesigned seat with new padding that improved rider and passenger comfort, and the chassis fitted with a main stand that was available as an optional extra.

The bike's exhaust system was fitted with a closed-loop lambda probe, and the catalyzer was redesigned and optimized to meet EURO3 emission standards. It came in the classic red and white color scheme, like the one used on Gerald Delepine's machine, and a grey livery.

Regarding power, the 2008 Husqvarna SM 610ie had installed a 576cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine under the fuel tank, boasting 54 hp with a peak at 7,000 rpm and 52 Nm (38 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.

As for appearance, the bike packed a high-mounted front fender, a single headlight integrated into a small cowl, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the left-hand side, and wire-spoke wheels with road tires.
