HUSQVARNA SM 610 S (1999-2000) Specs, Performance & Photos

Husqvarna Group was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, including chainsaws, brush cutters, robotic lawnmowers, trimmers, cultivators, garden tractors, and motorcycles. The company was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In 2000, the Swedish motorcycle maker introduced the Husqvarna SM 610 S, a naked motorcycle created for riders looking for a gritty machine. The SM 610 S was basically the same bike as Husky's adventure off-road TE-E610 motorcycle but with several changes to the wheels and front brake.

The bike's aesthetic department was complemented by features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a single headlight integrated into a small cowl, a one-piece dual seat with pillion grab rails, a luggage rack, a muffler mounted high on the right-hand side, and wire-spoke wheels with road tires.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed an inverted adjustable Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable Sachs shock on the rear, offering excellent suspension performance and handling capabilities.

The braking performance was achieved by a 320 mm brake rotor mounted on the front and a 220 mm rotor mounted on the rear, both compressed by hydraulic calipers.

Regarding power, the 2000 Husqvarna SM 610 S had installed a 610cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine at its core, boasting 45 hp at 6,750 rpm and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) torque at 6,800 rpm.
