HUSQVARNA FE 450 (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2017, the Swedish motorcycle maker released the Husqvarna FE 450, an off-road motorcycle with increased performance over the previous model, lighter and more compact. It also boasted an optimized map switch that activated Traction Control.

The 2017 FE and TE models were fitted with an electric starter, a new compact Li-Ion battery that is 1 kg (2.2 lbs) lighter than conventional batteries, a new wiring harness, and class-leading Brembo brakes. The 2017 FE 450 was sold at an MSRP of $10,600.

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles. The company was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In the visual department, the bike was similar to its siblings, packing features such as black anodized wire-spoke wheels, a raised front fender, a small cowl with a single headlight, a single seat, an engine plate, and a single exhaust system with a high mounted muffler on the right-hand side.

The bike's front suspension was handled by a 48 mm WP-USD Xplor adjustable telescopic fork with 300 mm of travel, while the rear end was controlled by a dual-sided aluminum swingarm coupled to a WP monosock with 330 mm of travel.

The 2017 Husqvarna FE 450's soul was brought to life by a 449cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, assisted by a six-speed manual transmission and a final chain drive.
