HUSQVARNA FC 450 (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles. The company was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In 2017, the Swedish maker released the Husqvarna FC 450, an off-road motorcycle in its fourth production year. The 2017 model year brought several innovative improvements that increased its overall capabilities.

It packed two ignition maps available at the press of a button that allowed riders to toggle between two different settings. The standard map offered aggressive power, while the second map offered a more mellow power delivery.

It also came with traction control, new suspensions, an upper triple clamp, new handlebar support, Dunlop MX3S tires mounted on DID Dirt Star rims, and a 10 mm longer rear brake lever.

Visually, the bike was similar to other FC models, packing standard fittings, like a high-mounted front fender, hand guards, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a high-mounted silencer, a dual-sided aluminum swingarm, and black anodized wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.

In the performance department, the 2017 Husqvarna FC 450 had installed a 449cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivered 63 hp. It was fed by a fuel injection system and assisted by a five-speed transmission with a final chain drive.
