HUSQVARNA FC 250 (2014-2015) Specs, Performance & Photos

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles. The company was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In 2014, the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer introduced the 2014 lineup. One of the ten models in the lineup was the Husqvarna FC 250, the smallest four-stroke motocross available on the market at the time. The bike was sold at an MSRP of $8,050.

Visually, the bike was characterized by standard features, like a single seat, a single exhaust system with a muffler mounted high on the right-hand side, hand guards, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.

The 2014 FC 250 model year came equipped with elements found across the 2014 lineup, including an aluminum swingarm, WP suspensions, Dunlop MX51 tires, an aluminum 827 Renthal Fatbar, hand guards, and Brembo brakes.

Regarding power, the 2014 Husqvarna FC 250 had installed a 249cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine at its core, managed by an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system and assisted by a six-speed transmission with a chain drive.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed an upside-down WP 4CS fork on the front with 300 mm wheel travel and a dual-sided swingarm with a WP monoshock at the rear, offering 330 mm wheel travel.

In the braking department, the motorcycle packed a 260 mm brake disc on the 21-inch front wheel and a 220 mm brake disc on the 18-inch rear wheel. Both discs were clamped by hydraulic calipers, offering excellent braking capabilities.
