HUSQVARNA ENDURO 701 (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2017, the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer released the Husqvarna Enduro 701, an enduro machine made from the ground up to lead in terms of performance, power, weight, and technology.

The 2017 701 Enduro and Supermoto models were new to the Husqvarna lineup and a big step forward for the brand in the street market. Both machines shared the same platform, which was also shared with two models made by KTM, the 690 SMC and Enduro.

Husqvarna was a Swedish manufacturer of outdoor power products, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors, and, why not, motorcycles. It was founded in 1689 as a firearm manufacturer and was one of the oldest continuously running companies in the world.

In the performance department, the 2017 Husqvarna Enduro 701 had installed a 690cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine at its core, boasting 67 hp with a peak at 7,500 rpm and 68 Nm (50 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.

The motorcycle featured great ergonomics, innovative bodywork, a single-cylinder engine with the latest technologies, switchable engine maps, and an APTC slipper clutch.

It was represented by standard fittings, such as a raised front mudguard, a single headlight, hand guards, a one-piece dual seat, a single exhaust system, an engine cover, a side stand, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.
