HUSQVARNA CR 50 (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Husqvarna CR was a series of motocross motorcycles manufactured by the Swedish company since 1972. In addition, the CR models were available in various displacements, such as 50, 65, 125, 250, 360, 390, 400, and 430cc.

In 2011, the Swedish motorcycle maker Husqvarna released the Husqvarna CR 50, the smallest displacement model in the CR range. It was in its second production year and was created for the youngest among off-road enthusiasts, thanks to its small engine.

In addition, the 2012 model was identical to the previous one, featuring the same performance, visual, and technical specifications without any changes whatsoever.

The 2010 Husqvarna CR 50 was powered by a 49cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mounted at its core, managed by a Dell'Orto PHBG 19 carburetor. It was assisted by a single-speed, adjustable gearbox with a dry, centrifugal dual clutch that sent the power to the rear via a final chain drive.

The motorcycle was characterized visually by standard features, such as small wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires, a single exhaust system with a high-mounted silencer on the right-hand side, a high-mounted front fender, and a single seat.

The steel frame housed the suspension system, which provided optimum handling capabilities. It consisted of a 32 mm inverted Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front and a dual-sided swingarm with a progressive Sachs Soft Damp monoshock on the rear.

As for the braking power, the motorcycle was fitted with a 160 mm brake disc on the front wheel and a 140 mm brake disc on the rear wheel.
