HUSQVARNA CR250 (2002-2003) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2002, the Swedish motorcycle maker released the Husqvarna CR 250, a quarter-liter motocross motorcycle that debuted in 1973. Over its production period, the bike received several upgrades and modifications.

In 1984, the bike went from an air-cooled to a water-cooled engine, in 1985 it used a Monocross linkage system instead of a Doublecross system and a brake disc on the front, and in 1989 it received a brake disc on the rear.

The engine size was increased in 1987 and again in 1999. In 1989, the bike came with a new inverted fork on the front and a Husqvarna Torque System (HTS) exhaust system. In 2000, the bike had a new look with a reduced size, while 2005 was the last production year.

The Husqvarna CR was a series of motocross motorcycles manufactured by the Swedish company since 1972. In addition, the CR models were available in various displacements, such as 50, 65, 125, 250, 360, 390, 400, and 430cc.

Regarding power, the 2002 Husqvarna CR 250 had installed a 249cc two-stroke liquid-cooled dingle-cylinder engine fed by a Mikuni TMX 38 mm carburetor and set in motion by a five-speed manual gearbox.

As for the visual department, the motorcycle packed features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted high on the right-hand side, and a dual-sided swingarm.
