The Husqvarna Cross 400 was the latest addition to the line of big-bore motocross machines. It combined raw power and excellent handling. It was powered by a single-cylinder engine placed in a lightweight steel frame.

The Husqvarna Cross 400 was a powerful and unforgiving motorcycle made by Husqvarna in the 1970s. The bike was difficult to ride, but McQueen managed to do a great job behind bars, demonstrating his desire to be taken seriously as a rider and racer.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a telescopic fork on the front with 152 mm of travel and a Griling shocks on the rear with 114 mm of travel, offering excellent suspension performance and handling capabilities.

As for the braking power, the bike's wire-spoke wheels were fitted with drum braking units, one front and one rear, providing optimum braking performance.

Regarding power, the 1971 Husqvarna Cross 400's soul was brought to life by a 396cc two-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivered 40 hp. The engine was managed by a 36 mm Bing carburetor and assisted by a four-speed manual transmission with a final chain drive.

The bike's visual department was characterized by wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires, a single exhaust system mounted high on the left-hand side, a high-mounted front fender, a side stand, and a single seat.
