The Swedish motorcycle manufacturer Husaberg was known for its enduro and Supermoto motorcycles, powered by big-cube, single-cylinder, highly tuned four-stroke engines, and race-oriented design.

The 2008 model range comprised several models, three enduro and three Supermoto. Enduro models included the FE450e, FE550e, and FE650e, while Supermoto models included the FS550e, FS650e, and FS650C. Apart from the FS650C, all models were fitted with an electric starter.

In 2008, the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer launched the Husaberg FS550e, a Supermoto motorcycle powered by a 549cc engine fitted with an electric starter.

The bike's visual department was characterized by standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted high, and wire-spoke wheels with road-oriented tires.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a WP telescopic fork on the front that offered 275 mm of travel and a WP DCC PDS shock absorber on the rear that provided 288 mm of travel, delivering excellent suspension performance and handling capabilities.

A 310 mm brake disc with a four-piston caliper handled the bike's front stopping power, while the rear end was controlled by a 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper.

The 2008 Husaberg FS550e had installed a 549cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine at its core. It was managed by an MX FCR 41 TPS Keihin carburetor and assisted by a six-speed transmission with a final chain drive.
