HUSABERG FX 450 Cross Country (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2011, the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer introduced the Husaberg FX 450 Cross Country, a dedicated motorcycle suited for every closed-course off-road racing. It featured new innovations that enhanced its overall capabilities.

The bike featured a new six-speed transmission with a ratio adapted to closed-course tracks, fully adjustable suspension with Cross Country settings, new machined triple clamps, a 19-inch rear wheel, Bridgestone MX tires, a new Renthal handlebar with a special FX bend, MX hand guards, and homologation features whatsoever.

Husaberg was an enduro motorcycle manufacturer powered by four and two-stroke engines with displacements ranging from 125 to 650cc. Based in Sweden, the motorcycles were later manufactured in Austria by KTM until 2014, when the line was dropped from production.

For suspension, the bike was fitted with a fully adjustable WP telescopic fork on the front that offered 300 mm of travel and a WP-PD S fully adjustable shock on the rear with 335 mm wheel travel.

The motorcycle was fitted with a 260 mm brake disc on the front and a 220 mm brake rotor on the rear for braking power. The front was clamped by a two-piston caliper, and the rear to a single-piston caliper.

The 2011 Husaberg FX 450 Cross Country's heartbeat was set by a 448cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine fed by a fuel injection system, boasting 63 hp.
