HUSABERG FE501 1997-2000

In 1997, the Swedish motorcycle maker introduced the Husaberg FE501, an enduro motorcycle powered by a half-liter engine, which was fed from a small plastic fuel tank.

Husaberg was an enduro motorcycle manufacturer powered by four and two-stroke engines with displacements ranging from 125 to 650cc. Based in Sweden, the motorcycles were later manufactured in Austria by KTM until 2014, when the line was dropped from production.

The Swedish motorcycle manufacturer Husaberg was known for its enduro and Supermoto motorcycles, powered by big-cube, single-cylinder, highly tuned four-stroke engines, and race-oriented design.

Visually, the 1997 motorcycle packed features such as a high-mounted front fork, a small cowl with a small square headlight, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a high-mounted silencer, a dual-sided swingarm, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a WD USD 4860 MA telescopic fork on the front and a WP PDS 5018 shock absorber on the rear, delivering optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

For braking power, the motorcycle was fitted with a 260 mm wave disc on the front and a 220 mm wave brake rotor on the rear, offering optimum performance.

In the performance department, the 1998 Husaberg FE501 had installed a 501cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine underneath its fuel tank. It was managed by a carburetor and a six-speed manual transmission.
