HONDA XR650R (2003-2004) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2003, the Japanese motorcycle maker released the Honda XR650R, an off-road motorcycle introduced in 2000. The 2003 model came in the same shape and form as previous models without any significant changes whatsoever.

The Honda XR 650 R was an off-road motorcycle manufactured by Honda since 2000. Compared to its XR 600 predecessor, the XR 650 R was a new motorcycle with a 649cc liquid-cooled SOHC engine mounted into an aluminum box frame.

The bike's visual department was characterized by standard fittings like a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a tiny cowl, a single seat, hand guards, a high-mounted exhaust system, and wire-spoke wheels shod with off-road, knobby tires.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a 46 mm adjustable Kayaba fork on the front with 285 mm wheel travel and a Pro-Link swingarm with an adjustable Kayaba shock on the rear with 307 mm wheel travel.

For stopping power, the bike's wire-spoke wheels were fitted with a 240 mm brake disc on the front and a 240 mm brake disc on the rear. The front disc was clamped by a dual-piston caliper, while the rear one was clamped by a single-piston caliper.

Regarding power, the 2003 Honda XR650R had its heartbeat set by a 649cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered 61 hp with a peak force at 6,750 rpm and 64 Nm (47 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.
