HONDA XR650L (2016-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2016, the Japanese motorcycle maker released the Honda XR650L, a dual-sports motorcycle manufactured for over 30 years from 1993 until the Present (2024). The bike was designed for those riders for whom motorcycles don't stop where the pavement ends.

Over its production period, the bike remained unchanged, packing features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a small cowl, an engine plate, a single seat with a toolbox, a high-mounted exhaust muffler, and wire-spoke wheels shod with off-road tires.

The Honda XR series was a line of enduro motorcycles made by Honda. The bikes were designed in Japan but assembled worldwide. Several XR models came in two versions, "L" and "R."

Regarding power, the 2016 Honda XR650L had installed a 644cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine under the fuel tank, boasting 41 hp with maximum strength at 6,000 rpm and 52 Nm (38 lb-ft) torque at 4,000 rpm.

For braking power, the bike packed a 240 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper on the front and a 240 mm brake rotor on the rear wheel tied to a single-piston caliper, offering optimum braking performance.

As for suspension, the bike packed a 43 mm adjustable cartridge-type fork with 295 mm of travel on the front and a Pro-Link swingarm coupled to an adjustable shock absorber on the rear with 280 mm of travel.
