HONDA ST1300P Police (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2011, in addition to the standard model, Honda released the ST1300P Police, a sport touring machine designed for police and law enforcement agencies worldwide. The ST1300P was fitted with police-derived amenities that required some modifications of the original ST1300 model.

In addition to the standard features, the ST1300P packed an upgraded frame and suspension for holding the additional weight of police accessories, a radio box, lights, and sirens with a different integrated electrical system and a larger alternator, providing more current.

Besides police amenities, the bike featured the exact specifications as previous models, with an aerodynamic bodywork and an adjustable windscreen, a comfortable two-up seat, a large trunk with integrated armrests for the passenger, and large side panniers for extra storage.

For suspension, the model featured a lightweight aluminum frame, combining rigidity and flex, with a 45 mm air-adjustable fork on the front. The rear suspension was handled by a preload and rebound adjustable shock absorber.

As for stopping power, the cast aluminum wheels were fitted with two 310 mm discs paired with three-piston calipers on the front and one 316 mm disc with a three-piston caliper on the rear, offering strong braking performance.

The 2011 Honda ST1300P Police was powered by the same 1,261cc four-cylinder longitudinally-mounted fuel-injected engine, delivering an output power of 118 hp at 8,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm.
