In 1971, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer released the Honda SL 125, a naked motorcycle with great handling. It was in its second production year and featured the same characteristics as the previous one without significant modifications.

In the visual department, the motorcycle had standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a round headlight upfront, two analog instrument dials, a one-piece dual seat, an up-swept exhaust system, side-mounted rear shocks, a side stand, and wire-spoke wheels.

The bike was built around a steel frame with a telescopic fork handling the front-end suspension and two side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear, offering optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

As for the braking performance, the bike's 21-inch front wheel was handled by a drum braking unit, while the 18-inch rear wheel was also controlled by a drum braking unit, providing optimum stopping power.

As for the power figures, the 1971 Honda SL 125 had its soul brought to life by a 122cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivered 12 hp with maximum strength at 9,000 rpm and 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm.
