HONDA CX 650 C (1983-1986) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Honda CX 500 was a mid-range tourer motorcycle manufactured by Honda from 1978 to 1986. The bike was powered by a longitudinally two-cylinder V-twin engine with four overhead valves per cylinder that sent the power to the rear wheel via a five-speed manual transmission and a shaft drive.

In 1983, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer introduced the Honda CX 650 C, a naked tourer motorcycle manufactured from 1983 to 1986. The bike was available in three versions, the CX 650 C, CX 650 EuroSport, and CX 650 Turbo.

In the aesthetic department, the motorcycle had standard features, such as a round headlight upfront, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a dual seat with a pillion handle, side-mounted chromed rear shocks, a chromed exhaust system, and five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

Suspension-wise, the motorcycle packed a 39 mm air-adjustable telescopic fork handling the front suspension and a dual-sided swingarm with two shocks handling the rear end, offering optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

As for the braking power, the bike relied on a single brake disc bolted to the front wheel and a single drum braking unit controlling the rear wheel.

In terms of power, the 1983 Honda CX 650 C had its heartbeat set by a 673cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered 65 hp at 8,000 rpm, pushing the motorcycle to a top speed of 179 kph (111 mph).
