The 2000 MY Gas Gas EC 300 boasts features such as a race-grade Ohlins monoshock with a progressive linkage as a rear suspension, front and rear disc brakes with Nissin calipers, laced wheels with knobby tires mounted on them, a single seat, a race-like livery, a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork and a deltabox-type cromoly frame with an aluminium swingarm.
In the engine department it is powered by a two-stroke, liquid-cooled, 297cc, single cylinder powerplant, paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, that can produce a claimed 50 horsepower and 49 Nm of torque.
