The 1999 MY Derbi Senda SM 125 4T, as its off-road sibling, was created especially for the younger and less-experienced among riders, but can also fit seasoned ones that prefer agility and fuel-efficiency over strength. It has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission that can produce a claimed 12 hp (9 Kw) and 9 Nm of torque. Also, it has standard features such as a small windscreen, dual headlights, a single seat, an under-seat mounted exhaust system, laced wheels, a steel frame, a Paioli suspension package composed of a 41mm telescopic front fork and a mono-shock in the rear, disc brakes in the front and in the rear, an analogue instrument cluster and wide handlebars.
