The 2011 Can-Am Outlander 650 comes with selectable 2/4 WD and high/low ratios being convenient features to adapt the power delivery to the rigors of the terrain, and the automatic transmission making things even easier. Auto-locking front differential and engine braking offer a great advantage when climbing or descending steep gradients, respectively, while spacious luggage racks allow the rider to haul quite a lot of gear. The ATV is pre-wired for a winch, and installing one is fairly easy, for when the going gets really tough.
12-inch ground clearance (30 cm) means easy passage over obstacles and is a great feature to complement the independent suspensions. The 2011 Can-Am Outlander 650 also spots easy-to-read digital instrumentation with speedometer, tachometer (bar graph RPM, bottom bar numerical RPM), odometer, trip & hour meters, diagnostic center, gear position, engine hour meter, 4 x 4 indicator, temperature and engine lights, fuel gauge, clock and auto-shutdown feature.
