BETA Evo 80 Sr (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2012, the Italian trial motorcycle maker released the Beta Evo 80 Sr, a trial motorcycle with larger geometry and dimension than the 80 Jr, to suit the more grown-up riders among Beta fans who want to take a swing on the wild side.

The EVO or EVO 4T were trial motorcycles created by Beta Motor to compete in the world trials. It was presented at the 2008 EICMA show, released into production in 2009, and intended to replace the Beta REV.

The bike's visual department was characterized by features such as a tubular steel black-finished frame, a front mudguard mounted close to the wheel, a single exhaust system with an up-swept muffler, an up-swept rear end, and wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires.

For suspension, the motorcycle packed a 38 mm Paioli telescopic fork on the front and a dual-sided swingarm with an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent handling capabilities.

As for the stopping power, the bike's wheels were fitted with a 185 mm brake disc on the front and a single 150 mm brake disc on the rear. Both discs were clamped to hydraulic calipers, offering optimum braking performance.

The 2012 Beta Evo 80 Sr had its soul brought to life by an 80cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine managed by a 21 mm Dell'Orto carburetor. In 2012, the Beta Evo 80 Sr was available at an MSRP of $4,599.
