BENELLI Tre 900RS Tornado (2007-2008) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2007, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Benelli Tre 900 RS Tornado, a race-inspired, fully-faired motorcycle, in its fourth consecutive production year. It was designed and tested to suit the tastes of those riders who wanted a powerful track-oriented motorcycle.

As with previous models, the 2007 machine came in the same package, delivering the same visual, technical, and performance characteristics without any significant modifications whatsoever.

Aesthetically, the 2007 motorcycle had standard features, such as 17-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, a tree-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, a two-piece dual seat with an optional passenger cover, a small windscreen, and a full fairing.

The 2007 Benelli Tre 900RS Tornado had its soul brought to life by an 898cc four-stroke three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine fed by a fuel injection system. As for the power figures, the engine delivered 143 hp with a peak at 11,500 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) torque at 8,500 rpm.

The power generated by the powerhouse was handled by a six-speed manual gearbox and sent to the rear end via a final chain drive, launching the machine to a maximum speed of 261 kph (162 mph).

As for the braking power, the bike's 17-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels were fitted with two 320 mm brake discs on the front and a 240 mm brake disc on the rear. All discs were clamped to four-piston calipers and delivered excellent stopping power.
