BENELLI Tre 900RS Tornado (2006-2007) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Benelli Tornado Tre 900 was a sports motorcycle produced by Benelli in Presaro, Italy, from 2002 to 2014. The last model of the range was designated as the Tornado Tre 903.

In 2006, the Italian maker released the Benelli Tre 900RS Tornado, a fully faired, race-derived, powerful machine created for those riders searching for a track-efficient motorcycle fitted with the best components on the market.

The 2006 motorcycle was equipped with the same technical, visual, and performance characteristics as the previous one. It didn't feature any new components or modifications.

Underneath the full fairing, the bike had a frame made of aluminum and steel that housed the suspension system, which was composed of an adjustable inverted Marzocchi telescopic fork that handled the front and an adjustable shock that dealt with the rear.

In the braking department, the motorcycle packed two 320 mm brake rotors on the front clamped to four-piston calipers and a 240 mm brake rotor on the rear tied to a four-piston caliper, offering excellent stopping power.

The 2006 Benelli Tre 900RS Tornado took its muscles from an 898cc four-stroke three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine controlled by an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system. The engine boasted 143 hp with a peak at 11,500 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) torque at 8,500 rpm.

As for the visual department, the motorcycle packed standard features, such as 17-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, a tree-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, a two-piece dual seat with an optional passenger cover, a small windscreen, and a full fairing.
