BENELLI Tre 900RS Tornado (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2005, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Benelli Tre 900RS Tornado. This powerful, race-inspired motorcycle came in the same shape and form as the previous one, delivering the same characteristics without any modifications.

The Benelli Tornado Tre 900 was a sports motorcycle manufactured by Benelli in Presaro, Italy, from 2002 to 2014. The last model of the range was designated as the Tornado Tre 903.

In the visual department, the motorcycle was fitted with standard features, like a full fairing, a vertical headlight, two lateral air intakes, a small windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with an optional passenger cover, a tree-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and 17-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

Power-wise, the 2005 Benelli Tre 900 RS Tornado had installed an 898cc four-stroke liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine underneath its armor, delivering a power output of 143 hp with a peak at 11,500 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) torque at 8,500 rpm.

The power crafted by the powerhouse was controlled by a six-speed manual gearbox and sent to the rear via a final chain drive that spun the rear wheel to a maximum speed of 261 kph (162 mph).

An adjustable inverted Marzocchi fork handled the front suspension, and two 320 mm brake discs with four-piston calipers acted as stopping power. In contrast, the rear end was controlled by an adjustable shock absorber and a 240 mm disc with a four-piston caliper.
