BENELLI Tre 1130 Tornado (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Benelli Tre 1130 Tornado, a sports motorcycle that debuted in 2006. It was in its fourth consecutive production year and featured the same characteristics as previous ones without major modifications.

The bike was created for those riders searching for top-notch performance from their Italian-built machine that could also run on weekend leisure ridings or the track without any special modifications whatsoever.

In the performance department, the 2009 Benelli Tre 1130 Tornado took its muscles from a 1,130cc four-stroke three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 163 hp at 10,500 rpm and 123 Nm (91 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm.

Two 320 mm brake discs clamped to four-piston calipers on the front, and a single 240 mm brake disc tied to a dual-piston caliper on the rear acted as a braking mechanism, keeping the motorcycle on the road in safe conditions.

The bike was made around a steel and aluminum frame mix with a 50 mm adjustable Marzocchi inverted telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

As for the visual department, the motorcycle was fitted with features, such as a full fairing with a slim, vertical headlight, two side air vents for the under-seat radiator, a small windscreen, a single seat with an optional passenger seat cover, a three-into-one exhaust system with an up-swept silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.
