The Benelli 304 was a lightweight, touring-oriented motorcycle manufactured by Benelli from 1984 until 1988. It was in the same category as the 354 Sport and 350 RS and was created especially for touring purposes.

In 1986, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Benelli 304, a motorcycle in its third consecutive production year. The bike was created to suit those riders looking to spend as much time as possible in the saddle.

The 1986 motorcycle was delivered in the same shape and form as previous models, packing the same technical, performance, and aesthetic specifications without any modifications whatsoever.

As for the visual department, the motorcycle was fitted with features like a color-matched front fender, a round headlight, a four-into-two exhaust system with a silencer mounted on each side, a center stand, a one-piece, two-up seat, and 12-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

In terms of power, the 1986 Benelli 304 had installed a 231 four-stroke four-cylinder air-cooled engine at its core, delivering an output power of 28 hp with a peak at 10,500 rpm and 19 Nm (14 lb-ft) torque at 9,000 rpm.

A five-speed manual gearbox with a manual clutch sent the power from the engine to the rear axle via a final chain drive, launching the motorcycle to 150 kph (93 mph).

The bike's riding experience was set by a 30 mm hydraulic telescopic fork on the front and a dual-sided swingarm with two side-mounted shocks on the rear.
