APRILIA SR Motard 125 (2014-2015) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2014, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia SR Motard 125, a small-displacement machine that delivered that delivered lots of fun and sportiness. It was characterized by an aggressive, essential, and compact style with great acceleration and agility.

The 2014 model was in its third consecutive production year and came with the same package as previous ones, delivering the same visual, technical, and performance specifications without any significant modifications whatsoever.

The scooter's aesthetic department was characterized by standard fittings, like a front fairing with a single headlight unit and a small handlebar-mounted cowl with integrated turn signals. A one-piece dual seat with pillion grab rails, a single shock mounted on the left-hand side, and ten-spoke lightweight alloy wheels.

Power-wise, the 2014 Aprilia SR Motard 125 had installed a 124cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine underneath the seat, delivering an output power of 9 hp with a peak force at 8,500 rpm and 8 Nm (6 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.

The power produced by the small engine was converted into motion by a CVT automatic transmission with a dry centrifugal clutch, sending it to the rear end via a final belt drive.

It was kept on the safe side by a 220 mm brake disc on the front tied to a dual-piston floating caliper and a 140 mm drum braking unit on the rear, providing optimum braking power.
