APRILIA RSV 1000 R (2006-2007) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia RSV 1000 R was a sports bike made by Aprilia in 2004 as a replacement model for the 1998-2003 Aprilia RSV Mille. It was produced until 2010, when it was replaced by the Aprilia RV4. Compared to its predecessor, the new bike was restyled and got a new name.

In 2006, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R, a sports machine in its third year of production. It came with the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as the previous model without any specifications whatsoever.

In addition to the standard RSV 1000 R model, the maker released two other versions, the higher-specification RSV 1000 R Factory version and the special edition model, named Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera.

The bike's suspension system comprised a 43 mm upside-down Ohlins compression, rebound, and preload-adjustable fork with 120 mm wheel travel on the front and an adjustable Ohlins monoshock on the rear with 133 mm wheel travel.

As for the stopping power, the 2006 model packed two 320 mm brake discs mounted on the front wheel coupled to four-piston calipers and a 220 mm brake disc married to a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

As for power, the 2006 Aprilia RSV 1000 R was powered by a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine mounted underneath its clothes, boasting boasting 143 hp at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
