APRILIA Atlantic 500 Sprint (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia Atlantic 500 Sprint, a maxi-scooter that debuted in 2001 and continued production until 2005 when it was replaced by the 500 Sprint version.

When released in 2005, the scooter had a maximum length of 2,200 mm (87 inches), 815 mm wide (32 inches), 1,370 mm height (54 inches), 780 mm seat height (31 inches), and its weight was reduced to 199 kg (439 lbs). It also had a 15-liter fuel tank with a 2-liter reserve.

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia Atlantic 500 Sprint, a maxi-scooter part of Aprilia's Atlantic range. It was in its fifth consecutive production year and packed the same specifications as the previous one without modifications.

In the visual department, the machine had standard fittings, like a large headlight unit, a large windscreen, a two-up seat with a rider and passenger lumbar support, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

The 2009 Aprilia Atlantic 500 Sprint had its heartbeat set by a 460cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine managed by a fuel injection system. It boasted 37 hp at 6,750 rpm and 42 Nm (31 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.

The scooter's power was kept on the safe side by two 260 mm brake discs and three-piston calipers mounted on the front wheel and a 220 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper mounted on the rear wheel.
